Columbus Middle School is a future-focused building located in the heart of Columbus, Nebraska — a vibrant and welcoming community known for its strong work ethic, family values, and commitment to education. Serving approximately 1,200 students from 5th grade through 8th grade, CMS is dedicated to its mission to “engage all students to achieve success” through innovative programming, strong community partnerships, and a culture that encourages every student to discover something greater than themselves.
At Columbus Middle School, students are challenged to grow academically, athletically, artistically, and personally. The district takes pride in offering comprehensive educational opportunities that prepare students for success in high school and life. From strong core academics and STEM opportunities to fine arts, athletics, and leadership development, students are encouraged to explore their passions and build confidence in their abilities.
